Hi! I am Amanda Slee. I was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV, but I am attending college at Arizona State University in Phoenix, AZ. I am studying broadcast journalism at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. I am slated to graduate in May of 2019. When I graduate, I want to become an on-site reporter/anchor getting and giving the dirty information, as well as, observing the action firsthand. In high school, I was on the staff for my school’s newspaper for two years and on the morning news staff for one year. So far in college I have made the dean’s list for two full years. I have also been initiated into the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority.
When I’m not busy, I like to spend time with friends or even pick my camera up and do photography. I have been a photographer for about five years now. I create photos to capture different moments so that I can preserve a memory and show the world a different view on the subject. What I love most about photography and journalism is that I can tell my viewer a story whether it be words, visuals or both.
